Are you taking comprehensive examinations (non-thesis)?Complete the comprehensive examination committe form no later than the fourth quarter of study. The form lists the three fields of examination and verifies that each faculty member and the graduate chair are in agreement. Please deliver the signed original to the graduate chair or administrative coordinator. You will receive a copy and the original will be placed in your department file. Are you writing a thesis?Complete the thesis proposal defense form. This should take place no later than the fifth week of the fourth quarter of study. All committee members and the graduate chair must sign it. Please deliver the signed original to the department administrator. Thesis defense: Please visit this link (www.ohio.edu/graduate/etd/Oral_Defense_Forms.cfm) and complete the required forms from the College of Arts and Sciences—“Arrangement for Oral Defense” and “Report of Oral Thesis Examination and Dissertation Defense.” Please deliver the signed original to the graduate chair or administrative coordinator. You will receive a copy, a copy will be placed in your department file, and the original will be sent to the college. You must also follow the instructions on completing your thesis from the “Thesis and Dissertation Services” (TAD) within the Graduate College.
